Blended Learning is the practice of combining different training methods, both formal and informal, to ensure that the training methods used match the learning outcomes required. Increasingly, the term blended learning has been superseded by the use of an approach called the 70:20:10 model.
Examples of what Learnworks does for clients under the banner of blended learning include combining pre-workshop activities (such as on-line modules or questionnaires) with face to face workshops, focused on group based learning to consolidate the material covered in advance of the class room session. Often, blended learning programmes also include on the job activities supported by coaching sessions conducted by in-house experts or line managers. Learnworks designs training programmes which ensure the most effective use of these techniques to ensure learning happens and is embedded in job performance.
